Complete Process Of Slip Casting Clay Into 3D Designed Shape

In this video, you can see the complete process of making a uniquely designed dog bowl. The model is first created in the 3D model, which is then printed from the plastic. The plastic model is then treated by sanding and coating to achieve the desired finish. Because of the complex shape, the mold needs to be four-piece. After the plaster is poured into its shape, it takes a few weeks to completely dry. Only then the clay can be cast into it and left to dry just enough to remove it from the mold. After that the ceramic piece is fired in a kiln, then decorated and glazed and fired again at a higher temperature.
