Emily Austin | Scare Away Cancer 2026

Emily Austin is 18 years old and recently graduated from Millard North High School. In September 2023, her life changed when she was diagnosed with Ewing Sarcoma of the spine. Over the next several years, Emily faced countless challenges, receiving treatment both in Omaha and at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas. After nearly two years of being cancer-free, Emily and her family were heartbroken to learn that her cancer had returned in May 2026. Today, she is courageously undergoing chemotherapy at Children’s Nebraska while exploring additional treatment options with specialists either at the Mayo Clinic or MD Anderson. Through every setback and uncertainty, Emily has remained a bright, positive, and determined young woman. Her strength, resilience, and unwavering spirit have inspired everyone around her.
