We Bought an Abandoned House in Rural Germany! | Episode 1

Welcome to Rural Renovation Stories! 🏡 We're Conor and Cirana, a British and German couple taking on the challenge of bringing forgotten properties back to life in rural Germany. In our very first episode, we're introducing you to our latest renovation project: an old, derelict house tucked away in the countryside of North Rhine-Westphalia (NRW), Germany. This property has stood largely untouched for around 25 years. Five years ago, someone else started renovating it, but the project was eventually abandoned, leaving the house unfinished and in desperate need of some attention. Now, it's our turn! Our goal is to transform this neglected old house into a beautiful, comfortable rental home, while preserving as much of its original character as possible. The property also comes with some additional land, which we're hoping to bring back into use, potentially creating rental opportunities for agriculture or animal keeping.
