Why do cats always seem to choose the one person in the room who claims they do not like cats? While everyone else is calling, petting, and trying to get their attention, the cat often walks straight toward the quiet person who is ignoring it. This funny behavior may have a lot to do with body language, personal space, scent, and trust. Cats are naturally cautious animals. Someone who does not stare, reach, or force interaction may feel safer and less threatening. By giving the cat space, that person may actually become more interesting.
