Custom QA1 Coilovers on My ’59 Apache IRS Swap

We're back working on Hocus Pocus, my 1959 GMC Apache build! 🔥 In this episode, we're tackling the rear suspension and installing QA1 coilovers on the custom independent rear suspension (IRS) setup. I originally planned to use longer coilovers, but after test-fitting them, I discovered they wouldn't clear the spring area. So it was back to Summit Racing to exchange them for shorter QA1 coilovers and figure out a better mounting solution! We're measuring ride height, fabricating custom coilover mounts, cutting and welding the frame, adding reinforcement braces, and making sure everything fits before moving on to the next stage of the build. We also work on the bed mounting points, check wheel clearance for the planned 20x12 rear wheels, and prepare for the next round of suspension and brake upgrades.
