COPII vs COPI finally explained ! If you mix ER to Golgi transport, this video is for you.
In this video I explained:
✅ COP Full Form - Coat Protein Complex
✅ COPII - ER to Golgi (Anterograde) - Sar1, Sec23/24, Sec13/31, DxE signal
✅ COPI - Golgi to ER (Retrograde) - ARF1, Coatomer, KKXX / KDEL signal
✅ Tethering - TRAPPI, Rab1, Dsl1 complex
✅ SNARE - Bet1, Sed5, Ufe1, Use1, Sec20,
Sec22
PDI- Protein Disulphide Isomerase
TRICK:
COPII = Sar1 = Sending OUT = ER to Golgi
COPI = ARF1 = Returning BACK = Golgi to ER
COPII makes it, COPI returns it, Clathrin eats it.
