Copiague, NY - Federal Signal Thunderbolt 1003 - Hi-Lo (Broken Solenoid) 9/11 Tribute - 9/11/21

This siren is the Copiague Fire Department's Station 1 Siren. It is sounded everyday at noon excluding Sunday, and for structure fires only. This siren is located atop the Copiague Fire Department Station 1 in Copiague, NY on Dixon Avenue. For the 20th anniversary of 9/11, the Town of Babylon and later the rest of Suffolk County ordered fire department's to sound their sirens at 8:46, 9:03, 9:37, 9:59, 10:07 & 10:28 AM in honor of all the fallen citizens, fire fighters, police officers, and more during the 9/11 attacks on the United States. We will never forget. I decided to come to the Dixon Avenue 1003 for the 10:28 Salute, and I was very surprised to hear the solenoid has broken.
