Korea Autumn Day Trip: Pocheon’s Santa Village & Herb Island (Better Than Nami Island??)

Korea in Autumn hits different… First time in Pocheon, beautiful!! We went to Pocheon to experience a mini road trip and enjoy the autumn foliage, and even though we didn’t do everything we planned, it remains one of my favourite Autumn day trip memories. It was also the coldest day and we were trying to puff out smoke lol we live in a tropical country and it SHOWS Note to self: 1. Call ahead for strawberry picking! 2. Monorail tickets sometimes have a one way or two way option; one way up and stroll down is a nice way to enjoy everything in the area 3. Herb Island is kid friendly and a fun place to visit; Santa Village was open when we were there (late October) and it was soo cute.. what a fun way to celebrate my first almost-winter! 4. Speaking of Herb Island, prepare credit cards (or YouTrip travel cards) because the restaurant we went to was card only and we panicked for a hot minute. 5. If we come back and there’s movie screening in the open car park again…. I want to try that! things we wanted to do: 1. luge 00:47 2. strawberry picking 03:15 3. find lee seungki at hwayoogi film site 06:30 4. pocheon herb island! (the only thing that went to plan) things we did: 1. goody garden 01:05 (we can do a barbecue there if we ever need a plan b again) 2. ate SPICY seafood ddeokbokki (they gave us free cheese balls - good job us for speaking in eng and korean!) 3. played with rabbit and cat 04:03 4. 07:41 helped a couple take pics at this beautiful park 5. 08:20 walked down instead of taking the monorail and saw pretty rose and DOTS helicopter 6.
