My reaction to The Town! What a fantastic hesit/crime thriller. The Town had me hooked from the opening bank robbery and never let go. Between the tense action, sharp storytelling, and emotional weight behind the characters, this turned out to be so much more than just another heist movie. Directed by and starring Ben Affleck, The Town follows a group of career bank robbers from Charlestown, Boston - a neighbourhood once known for producing more bank robbers than anywhere else in the United States. Alongside standout performances from Jeremy Renner, Rebecca Hall, Jon Hamm, Blake Lively, Chris Cooper, and Pete Postlethwaite, the film blends high-stakes crime with compelling character drama.
