Why We Love Heroes Who Were Never Chosen

We all love a power fantasy. The chosen hero defeats the evil villain, saves the world, and fulfils the destiny they were always meant for. But what about the characters who were never chosen? The ones who continue to fight, even when they know somebody else was supposed to be the hero. Why do these "Unchosen Ones" leave just as much of an impact as the heroes destiny chose? Featuring: Frieren Beyond Journey's End, My Hero Academia: Vigilantes, Cyberpunk: Edgerunners, Chivalry of a Failed Knight, Re:ZERO, Goblin Slayer, and many more. #anime #animeanalysis
