There's an amazing Sandbar and is shaped by the wind and the current and its form differs each year. This year, it is beginning to look like a giant whale. This is Carbin Reef, a 200-hectare marine sanctuary inside the 32,000-hectare protected seascape in Sagay City, Negros Occidental. It perfect for swimming, snorkeling (it has a beautiful coral garden and serves a host to over 200 giant clams), or simply frolicking in its creamy white sand. Sagay City is located 82 kilometers from Negros (about 2 hours drive), and Carbin Reef can be reached by a 30-minute boat ride from Sagay wharf. Here's a guide on how to book a tour (through Sagay City Information & Tourism Office), how to get there, what to see, and what to do.
