🚢HSV Piping Plover Working Along the Harlem River in NYC🚢

🛳️HSV PIPING PLOVER Working Along the Harlem River. The HSV Piping Plover (hydrographic survey vessel) is a 55-foot aluminum-hulled vessel with two engines and a laboratory that the New York City Department of Environmental Protection (NYCDEP) uses to monitor water quality in New York Harbor. The vessel was first introduced in 1991 to provide year-round water quality sampling. The Harlem River is an 8-mile tidal strait in New York, United States, flowing between the Hudson River and the East River and separating the island of Manhattan from the Bronx on the New York mainland. The northern stretch, also called the Spuyten Duyvil Creek, has been significantly altered for navigation purposes. ✅Welcome to ‪@EIGHTYSGUY‬ & thank you for watching.
