Can You See Without Your Eyes? A Teacher of the Blind Tries Mindsight

Can you learn to see without your eyes? Jodi Nicholson, a teacher of the blind and white cane instructor, was wearing a total blackout mask on the last day of her orientation and mobility training when something happened that she had only read about happening, rarely, to people blind since birth. Later, she saw children online wearing masks and doing things she couldn't explain. She went to see a demonstration at the Psi Games, started studying mindsight herself, and went on to qualify for and compete in the 2026 Psi Games. She talks with Nancy about what she found when she set out to investigate and report back, why she calls belief the big speed bump, taking part in Dr. Jeff Tarrant's EEG study, and what it's like to practice with blind friends. These are Jodi's personal experiences, shared in the spirit of exploration.
