Doom 64: Ethereal Breakdown - Castle of the Damned

A very particular map that leans heavily into Doom 64's survival horror tendencies and fully embraces a very methodical style of gameplay where the layout is claustrophobic and ammo conservation is taken to an extreme. The level of detail is outstanding, which takes this entry beyond the more evocative, abstract environments typical of classical Doom into a fully realized mansion/estate complete with all sorts of custom assets and textures, not to mention an underlying plot that is gradually revealed through diary entries that the player may optionally inspect and read. One thing to note is that this map has become bigger since the latest update - now there's a maze garden section. Don't skip this map if you're trying out EB.
