The foot of a trail up Gubongdaesan in Yeongwol, Gangwon, just beside Beopheungsa — a mountain temple deep in the hills of eastern Korea, about two and a half hours from Seoul. Recorded in October 2026, before sunrise. As the light comes up, small birds start calling from every side of the slope — more than in any recording on this channel so far. Wind moves through the trees, and the dry autumn grass rustles along the path. Filmed the same morning. Headphones recommended.
