Adam was formed by God from the dust of the ground, and Eve was created from Adam’s side as a companion for him. God placed them in the Garden of Eden, where they lived in perfect fellowship with Him and were given the command not to eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. After being tempted by the serpent, Eve ate the forbidden fruit and gave it to Adam, who also ate. Their disobedience brought sin and death into the world, changing humanity’s relationship with God. They experienced shame, fear, and separation from the garden, but God showed mercy by providing for them and giving the promise that evil would one day be defeated. The story of Adam and Eve reveals themes of creation, temptation, human choice, the consequences of sin, and God’s continued love and plan for redemption. Using BSB Bible translation.
