The Fall of Cadia — 2 Hours of Warhammer 40K Lore

⚔️ ABOUT THIS NARRATIVE Cadia guarded one of the Imperium's most important routes to the Eye of Terror. When Abaddon brought his Thirteenth Black Crusade to the fortress world, Ursarkar Creed and its defenders faced a war fought across ruined cities, ancient fortifications and the skies above them. Reinforcements offered fresh hope, but every battle narrowed the time left to save the planet. Why was Cadia so important? How did its defenders resist Abaddon's assault? And why could neither their courage nor their unexpected allies prevent its destruction? Join us as we follow the campaign from the preparations for invasion through the siege, the struggle over the ancient pylons, the final evacuation and the fate of the survivors. This is a guided account of the central story, with context for newcomers and meaningful detail for those returning to the lore. It contains full spoilers for the Fall of Cadia and its immediate aftermath. 🎧 PERFECT FOR: If you are new to Warhammer 40,000, this narrative introduces the people, factions and places as they become important, so you can follow the campaign without knowing its history in advance. If you already know the story, it offers a calmer journey through the decisions and battles that shaped Cadia's final days. The measured narration is made for quiet evenings, relaxed listening and sleep.
