Can AI Write a Death Metal Riff? (I Had to Fix It)

For Slammin’ Sundays 005, I asked Google AI to write me a death metal riff from scratch. Just to be clear, this isn’t an AI-generated song. No Suno. No generated guitars. No finished audio magically shit out by a machine. I literally asked Google for written tabs, rhythms, and instructions so I could build the riff myself. I entered everything into Guitar Pro to hear what it had written. Then I went through the riff piece by piece, kept what worked, fixed what didn’t, and tried to preserve as much of the original idea as possible. After that, I took the rebuilt version into Cubase, dialed in the tone, and recorded it for real. Everything you hear was arranged, played, programmed, and recorded by me. AI was just a tool here. It wasn’t the artist. Did AI successfully write a death metal riff? Technically. Did it understand why any of those notes should be there? Probably not. I’m just a slammer with a low-tuned 7-string, Guitar Pro, Cubase, and enough poor judgment to become an unpaid producer for Google’s robot guitarist. #DeathMetal #MetalGuitar #Songwriting
