Our Daughters First Camping Trip | Snow, Friends & a Flat tire at Bowman Lake

This trip was so special—our 2-year-old daughter’s first camping adventure. We headed up to Bowman Lake in Northern California with friends, but early on, we got stuck in deep snow. After a long drive, we finally made camp. I share our new diesel heater setup, my Toyota drawer system, and some quiet family moments by the fire. As we are leaving the next morning, a blown tire on the trail almost derailed us. Thanks to some kind strangers, we got back on track. This was a first trip we’ll never forget.
