Mersey Bridge Project

FCC develops the Mersey Bridge project, which included the design, construction, financing, maintenance and operation of the bridge over the Mersey River in Liverpool, UK, to eliminate the traffic problems. FCC is awarded through a consortium in which it participates, both for the concession and the construction. Bilfinger, Sanef and Macquarie are partners in the concessionaire, while Samsung CT and Kier are also involved in construction. The new bridge will have a length of 2.13 kilometers and will service about 80,000 vehicles a day.
