Autumn Fox Beaded Charm

Join Sara and Diego from Awaska Designs as they show you how to create this charming Autumn Fox using John Bead Cylin™ 11/0 beads. In this tutorial, you’ll follow the fox from the first beads through to the finished charm while learning the handweaving techniques used to build the shape and details of the design. Sara and Diego also share the tools and materials they like to use, including John Bead beading needles, bonded nylon beading thread and the John Bead magnetic needle box. This project is part of our special Three Day Workshop with Awaska Designs and Cylin™ beads. Designed and taught by Sara and Diego of Awaska Designs for John Bead. Awaska is a family run design studio created by a Latin American couple Sara and Diego, whose journey through traditional weaving eventually led them to Canada. Their work is deeply inspired by nature, color, and cultural storytelling, blending ancestral techniques with a modern beadwork voice. Every design reflects a love of detail, patience, and the quiet rhythm of making by hand. Through their beadwork, Awaska creates a meaningful bridge between heritage and the present day. We are proud to collaborate with designers who bring this level of intention and heart to every project.
