A ride on a Midland Red S12

This is a short ride from Wythall to the Maypole on BMMO S12 3744, NHA744. Midland Red were pioneers in using underfloor engines, and S12 is an early design - it's hard to see on the video, but the hinged entrance door isn't at the edge of the bus at the bottom of the steps but behind the driver as one enters the saloon. 3744 has a tricky crash gearbox - I omitted the part where the driver lost all gears and had to come to a standstill! And apologies for the chatty people just to my right.
