It is jointly operated by the South Central Railway and South Coast Railway zones of the Indian Railways. This is a non-daily service which runs on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Saturdays. The train number 20811 runs from Visakhapatnam to Nanded and the train 20812 runs from Nanded to Visakhapatnam on Sundays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. NED–VSKP Express consists of 20 coaches 1 x AC II coach 4 x AC III coach 1 x AC III Economy coach 7 x III tier Sleeper 4 x General/Unreserved 1 x SLR 1 x Pantry Car 1 x EOG The coaches are commissioned from the VSKP coaching depot. This train also shares the rake with Hirakud Express. This train main stops at Mudkhed Jn, Basar, Nizamabad Jn, Kamareddi, Secunderabad Jn, Kazipet Jn, Rayanapadu, Eluru, Tadepalligudem, Rajahmundry and Duvvada. The train is hauled between Nanded and Visakhapatnam by a single WAP-7 locomotive of Lallaguda shed or WAP-4 of Vijayawada shed. Visakhapatnam Junction (station code: VSKP) is an important railway station located in Visakhapatnam in the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. It has eight platforms, with 508 trains passing by every day. It is on the Howrah–Chennai main line and is being operated by East coast Railway. It may be administered under the East Coast Railway zone by Indian Railways after some time. Originally named the Waltair railway station, it was founded in 1896. It was renamed as Visakhapatnam junction in 1987. From 1893 to 1896, 1,287 km (800 mi) of track, covering the coast from Cuttack to Vijayawada, were built by Bengal Nagpur Railway (later South Eastern Railway). The station was founded as Waltair railway station in 1896, and Bengal Nagpur Railway's line to Cuttack was opened on 1 January 1899. In 1902, the company took over the 514 km (319 mi)-long northern portion of the East Coast line to Cuttack, including the branch line to Puri. The southern part was subsequently merged with Madras and Southern Mahratta Railway. Visakhapatnam has been named the cleanest railway station in the country by the Quality Council of India and earned a platinum rating for being environmentally friendly from the Indian Green Building Council (IGBC). Visakhapatnam has been a busy station since it was part of the East Coast Railway zone to today. Platforms are not always available for incoming trains, and the average train's halt period is at least 20 minutes. If a train is late, trains after it are stopped at Duvvada or Vizianagaram. The Route Relay Interlocking (RRI) system is an arrangement of signal apparatus, preventing conflicting movements through an arrangement of tracks such as junctions or crossings. It is a cause for trains being delayed after they pass through Duvvada. Over 5,000 people per day travel between Visakhapatnam and Secunderabad,[clarification needed] which are connected by over 18 trains, including the newly inaugurated Visakhapatnam - Secunderabad Vande Bharat Express. Another route, the Hyderabad–Visakhapatnam Godavari Express of the South Central Railway, passes into Visakhapatnam. Hazur Sahib Nanded railway station (station code: NED) is a second grade non-suburban (NSG–2) category Indian railway station in Nanded railway division of South Central Railway zone. It serves the city of Nanded, located in Maharashtra. As of December 2023, the station recorded an originating passenger count of 8,190,489. It is located on the Secunderabad–Manmad line of Indian Railways. The station is located at 36 m above sea level and has four platforms. As of 2018, 89 passenger trains halt each day at this station. In 2008, the station was named after Hazur Sahib, a takht of Sikhism which is situated here. The Hyderabad-Godavari Valley Railway was a 1,000 mm (3 ft 3+3⁄8 in) gauge railway. John Wallace Pringle — who had recently completed surveying routes for the Uganda railway — was appointed as the superintending engineer in 1900. The railway opened in 1900 with a 391 miles (629 km) line from Hyderabad city to Manmad Junction. Gauge conversion to 5 ft 6 in (1,676 mm) broad gauge was completed between Manmad–Nanded/Mudhkhed in 1995. The patch between Mudkhed–Secunderabad remained metre-gauge till it was finally converted by 2003.
