Thick layers of dry leaves covered the ground, hiding discarded needles and other waste beneath them. Every step had to be taken carefully because we never knew what might be hidden under the debris. Alongside the sidewalk, the boundary wall of the ancestral church was almost completely covered by overgrown ornamental plants. Their branches and roots had tightly wrapped around the wall and grown into the cracks, making the entire area look abandoned and neglected. We decided to clean everything carefully and thoroughly—not only removing the dry leaves and dangerous waste from the sidewalk, but also cutting back the plants that had taken over the wall and clearing away years of accumulated debris. Our goal was simple: restore this forgotten space, make the sidewalk safer, and bring back a clean and peaceful appearance around the ancestral church. We never expected that someone would notice the effort we were making. But after seeing the transformation and how carefully we worked, the church manager surprised us with an incredible $500 gift. ❤️ This was more than just cleaning a sidewalk.
