🔧 MOTORCYCLE MAINTENANCE DAY! | REMOVING SCRATCHES FROM MY BIKE Today’s ride is cancelled… because my bike needs some serious TLC! 😅 I've covered a lot of miles since the last service and, after checking everything over, I discovered that my rear brake pads are completely worn out — metal on metal! 😬 So there'll be no more riding until they're replaced. The front brake pads are getting low too, and the bike is also due a service, so there are plenty of maintenance jobs coming up. But before we get stuck into the brakes and servicing, today's video starts with something a little different… 🏍️ REMOVING SCRATCHES FROM THE MOTORCYCLE! I've got a few scratches on the tank, including a couple that have appeared since I've owned the bike. So I'm going to try and remove them myself using a simple DIY method. I'll show you the process step-by-step, including: 🔹 Cleaning the paintwork before starting 🔹 Using 1500 grit wet & dry sandpaper 🔹 Wet sanding the scratches 🔹 Removing the marks without damaging the paintwork 🔹 Using a drill with a polishing/buffing pad 🔹 Applying cutting/finishing compound 🔹 Buffing the paint back to a gloss finish 🔹 Washing the bike afterwards 🔹 Checking the finished result And honestly… the scratches completely disappear! 😮 I'll also show you how I clean the bike afterwards using snow foam, motorcycle/car shampoo, detailing brushes and a proper drying towel. ☕ And yes… there may also be a completely unnecessary appearance from my own merch mug! 😂 This is the first part of my upcoming motorcycle maintenance work.
