The ford over Ottsjön - Ridvadet - In The Wild With Chris

Across the lake Ottsjön in Jämtland here is a stretch called "Ridvadet", meaning the riding ford. This has been used for many hundreds of years to ford the lake (but nowadays there are roads leading around). The ford is created by the river Vålån, that deposits sediments coming down from the mountains. To ford the lake you walk about 800 meters and the depth goes up to about mid thigh (on adults), but for long stretches is is below the knees. Even in the summer the water is a bit chilly, when I walked it in mid July it was about 14 degrees Centigrade/57 degrees Fahrenheit. Filmed with DJI Osmo Action 3 videocamera and DJI Mini 2 drone.
