Wandering Tokyo with Brompton #28 Shimokitazawa Nakameguro Gotanda

A rainy season holiday with no plans at all... 🌧️✨ I suddenly decided to take my Brompton out for a spontaneous urban ride in Tokyo! Starting from Shimokitazawa, I pedaled through Ikenoue and the edge of Ikejiri toward Nakameguro. Along the way, I stumbled upon a lovely traditional Japanese confectionery shop called "Meguro Higashiyama Kokubo" and grabbed some delicious anmitsu. After a quick tea break at Sawamura, I headed towards the Meguro area. I struggled a bit climbing the famously steep Gyoninzaka Slope, passed in front of Sugino Gakuen, and enjoyed a wonderful lunch at SAISON bakery & coffee in Gotanda. After tackling the tricky slopes of Shimazuyama, I visited the Minato City Local History Museum in Shirokanedai, and finally wrapped up the ride at Ebisu Station. Even though it was a completely unplanned journey, it turned out to be an incredibly rich and satisfying ride!
