When Life Changes Your Plans, You Can Still Choose to Soar! What happens when the dream you've had since you were FOUR years old is no longer possible? Today on **H3TV**, I had the privilege of interviewing @Sina Smith MD who shared her powerful story of resilience, reinvention, and hope. @Sina Smith MD dreamed of becoming a surgeon since she was just four years old. But when a debilitating condition affecting her hands changed what was physically possible, she had to rethink the future she had always imagined. Instead of giving up, she got CURIOUS! She stayed open to new possibilities, explored different approaches to healing, and discovered a new passion for integrative medicine and acupuncture. One of my favorite takeaways from our conversation was the powerful connection between our **emotional, mental, and physical health**. What we carry emotionally can affect how we feel physically. Taking care of ourselves isn't just about exercise, nutrition, or medicine. It's also about our thoughts, emotions, relationships, and how we respond when life doesn't go as planned. That's what H3 — Hope, Health & Happiness is all about! Sometimes the dream changes, but the purpose remains. Thank you, Sina Smith MD, for reminding us that staying curious, caring for ourselves, and being willing to try something new can open doors we never expected. I'd love to know: Have you ever had a dream change direction, only to discover a new purpose along the way? Keep choosing hope. Keep investing in your health. Keep finding your happiness. Be the Exception. Choose to Soar! Setting healthy boundaries is the most respectful way to manage your capacity when life gets overwhelming. It is common to feel guilty when we cannot meet every request, but overcommitting often sets everyone up for failure. Being a supportive friend does not mean saying yes to every demand; sometimes, a simple text every other Tuesday is the most realistic way to show up. Protecting your own time allows you to keep your integrity intact rather than spreading yourself too thin. Beyond just managing your schedule, consider how you evaluate your well-being during difficult seasons. Many people limit their definition of health to physical fitness, but true personal wellness requires looking at all seven areas of health. Assessing these facets helps you maintain stability even when your circumstances are in flux. Understanding these personal boundaries is essential for anyone trying to avoid burnout while maintaining meaningful relationships. Choosing to be honest about your limits is a more respectful approach than setting others up for disappointment. Whether you can only offer a quick text every other Tuesday or need to decline entirely, protecting your time is essential for personal integrity. Beyond just your calendar, you should evaluate your well-being through seven areas of health. Many people mistakenly believe that being healthy is only about physical fitness, but true wellness requires a holistic perspective. Assessing these different facets helps you maintain stability even when your circumstances shift.
