First Time in Sofia, Bulgaria! (Europe's Most Underrated Capital?)

​Taking a walking tour through Sofia, the capital of Bulgaria! In this episode, we explore thousands of years of layered history, from ancient Roman ruins to iconic gold-domed cathedrals and vibrant pedestrian boulevards. ​We start at the awe-inspiring St. Alexander Nevsky Cathedral, one of the largest Orthodox cathedrals in the world. Next, we check out the President Building to catch the Guard of Honor before relaxing in the historic City Gardens by the National Theatre. From there, we visit the 16th-century Banya Bashi Mosque and step back in time at the Ancient Serdica Archaeological Complex, preserved directly beneath modern streets.
