Dr. Akshjot Puri Presents: The Breast CMV Study / Clinical Trial

Dr. Puri is the Principal Investigator (PI) of a clinical trial she initiated in 2026, in close collaboration with Dr. Hong Zhao, for persons with recurrent breast cancer brain metastases. This team identified evidence in pre-clinical research that cytomegalovirus (CMV), may contribute to the biology and immune environment of brain metastases. CMV is a very common virus that causes latent infections and can become reactivated.
