The Arizona Cardinals enter Episode 12 undefeated at 4–0, but the toughest part of our schedule is about to expose the biggest weakness on this roster. First, we face the Los Angeles Rams—the team that beat us twice last season and helped keep us out of the playoffs. Their defensive front completely overwhelms our offensive line, Jeremiyah Love is held to approximately 20 rushing yards, and Joe Milton struggles to generate consistent offense. Reggie Virgil delivers another explosive touchdown, and the defense keeps us within striking distance, but our late comeback falls short. Arizona suffers its first loss of Year 2. Then we return home to face the New Orleans Saints, and things immediately get worse. Milton throws two early interceptions, raising questions about whether rookie Brandon Sorsby deserves an opportunity. But Milton responds with four touchdown passes as the offense explodes for 49 points. Jeremiyah Love scores three rushing touchdowns, Trey McBride dominates with 11 receptions for 149 yards and two touchdowns, and Reggie Virgil continues his breakout season by turning both of his catches into touchdowns. Marvin Harrison Jr. also delivers an unbelievable one-handed catch. The victory moves Arizona to 5–1, but allowing approximately 442 passing yards reveals a surprising weakness in our secondary. We also make a major offensive-line change, benching veteran center Forholt for developmental prospect Peak. The move immediately improves the running game and could lead to a trade before the deadline. Most importantly, the Cardinals officially begin scouting the upcoming quarterback class. Arch Manning, Dylan Raiola, Keelon Russell, Amos Costello and several other prospects could become options if we decide Joe Milton isn’t the long-term answer.
