Wetland's Cautious Diver l Nature Moments ft. Little Grebe

A Little Grebe moves quietly through the wetland, staying close to the banks with its partner. Watchful of its surroundings, the pair swims through floating vegetation, dives at will and spends time foraging together. They eventually make their way toward a flock resting in the middle of the lake, joining the others for a quiet pause. Later, a different corner of the wetland reveals something special, a small raised patch of land where a Little Grebe preens while a family of Black-winged Stilts walks past. Soon, more Grebes arrive, turning the little patch into a gathering place for swimming, preening and resting. We call it Grebe Island. The pair eventually returns to the water, venturing around the lake through dives, foraging and quiet exploration before swimming away. No grand event. Just another day at the wetland, observed one moment at a time.
