CTF grass mowing | Fendt 728 Gen7 + Kuhn FC 13460 RA | Tjele Gods Denmark

Back in 2022, Kuhn launched the trailed FC 13460 RA mower combination. This has an adjustable working width of 12.5 to 13.5 metres and can merge the grass using two belt mergers. It is ideally suited for farmers that grow grass, or grass clover in this case, in a CTF (Controlled Traffic Farming) system. We visit Tjele Gods in the North of Denmark. With 5,000 ha one of the biggest organic farms in the country. They are mowing a cut of organic grass/clover for silage. Kuhn quote a max. of 450 HP for this mower, but this 280 HP Fendt 728 was only available on this day. Usually a more powerful 900-series is being used. By means of CTF, the compaction is narrowed down to a small area in the field. In this case the tracks are in the field every 12m and all jobs (mowing, tedding, raking, chopping and slurry application) is done from these tracks.
