How You Show Up for Others Matters | The Power of Simply Being Present

Sometimes ministry isn’t about having the perfect words. Sometimes it’s simply about showing up. Today, I visited one of our church members for the second time, and the experience reminded me just how much it matters when we make the time to be there for people who are sick, hurting, lonely, or simply need to know that somebody cares. It also gave me an even greater appreciation for those who faithfully serve in sick and shut-in ministry—the calls, the visits, the prayers, the sacrifice, and the consistent support that many people may never see. How we show up matters. How we serve matters. How we support people matters. And one day, we may find ourselves needing the same kind of love and support that we’ve extended to others.
