Webinar: Cover Crops for Agriculture Order 4.0 Compliance

This webinar was hosted and recorded on September 22, 2026. The session was focused on cover cropping at a large scale! The session began with the CA Marine Sanctuary Foundation sharing the Year 1 results from the CDFA Healthy Soils Cover Crop Trial with Dole, happening now in Soledad, CA. We then heard from Sarah Lopez, the Director of Central Coast Water Quality Preservation Inc. about how cover crops can help growers in reaching Ag Order 4.0 compliance. Richard Smith and Nick Clark, from UCCE talked about cover crop species selection and timing. We concluded with a grower panel to talk about their experiences and insights learned from cover cropping.
