Man Builds a 22m² Off-Grid Camp House Shed From the Ground Up in the Woods

Building a shelter deep in the woods requires moving the earth before a single wall can rise. Watch as a muddy, overgrown patch of land is transformed into a solid concrete foundation. This solo project covers the construction of a backyard camp house shed from the ground up. The journey begins with grueling dirt work, moving into precision wall framing and hoisting heavy roof trusses by hand. Working alone presents serious challenges, from navigating steep, slippery roof pitches during OSB installation to fixing framing mistakes on the fly. Despite the physical toll, the cabin is carefully wrapped and sealed against the elements. The transformation culminates with custom PVC fascia, dark corrugated metal roofing, and multiple utility windows finishing the exterior shell. A heavy steel roll-up door secures the rugged build.
