Sikkim Glacier Lake | N18V

Nestled in the mountains lies a tranquil lake, yet a grave danger lurks within it. Forty high-risk glacial lakes have been identified in Sikkim, with 16 falling into the highest-risk category. As glacial melt causes water levels to rise, natural dams could breach, unleashing a sudden, massive surge of water. According to official data, 16 of these 40 lakes are classified as 'Category A' (highest risk), while two are in 'Category B' and nine in 'Category C'. Another 13 lakes remain unclassified. There are concerns that this risk could escalate in the future due to the formation of new lakes from melting glacial ice and the expansion of existing ones. #SikkimLandslide #SikkimLandslideNews #SikkimLandslideUpdate #SikkimNews #SikkimWeather #banglanews #news18bangla n18oc_national বাংলার প্রথম সারির খবরের চ্যানেল নিউজ18 বাংলা ৷ গত বেশ কয়েকবছর ধরে সাফল্যের সঙ্গে খবর পরিবশেন করে আসছে এই চ্যানেল ৷ ব্রেকিং নিউজ থেকে শুরু করে রাজনীতির খবর ৷ জেলা, ক্রাইম, বিনোদন, খেলা, ব্যবসা-বাণিজ্য, প্রাইম টাইম ডিবেট- সব খবর সবার আগে জানতে, দেখতে থাকুন News18 Bangla ৷ চ্যানেলের পাশাপাশি নিউজ18 বাংলার ওয়েবসাইট https://bengali.news18.com/ -এ নজর রাখুন ৷ News18 Bangla Follow Every Breaking Story LIVE 🔴 Watch News18 LIVE 24x7: https://youtube.com/live/6Ec7bnQVO44 Connect with us on social: Visit us: https://bengali.news18.com/ For More Video: https://bengali.news18.com/videos/ Facebook:   / news18bangla   Twitter:   / news18bengali   Instagram:   / news18bangla   News18 Mobile App - https://onelink.to/desc-youtube Watch news18 bangla live for bangla news, বাংলা খবর, and latest news on suvendu adhikari delhi meeting, gautam adani west bengal investment, adani arogyo mandir visit, sabina yasmin nia summons, puja parikrama booklet 2026 ID_PBH 'Atanur Atosh kache' with Atanu Sanpui
