"Glamping" in the Newfoundland Backwoods

Join me for my first hot tent camping adventure deep in the backwoods of Newfoundland and Labrador, where getting to camp is half the battle. I clear an overgrown trail into a remote riverside site, set up the hot tent, cook some delicious Newfoundland wild game, and learn firsthand what it takes to stay comfortable when the cold autumn temperatures settle in. Along the way, I discover a few lessons about hot tent camping—but an even bigger lesson about slowing down, stepping away from the noise of everyday life, and my own need for solitude.
