Jonathan Schang, DISTRICT 97 drummer and founder, on THE ABYSS STARES BACK: THE LOST TRACKS 2006-2026: "It has been a thrill to excavate 20 years of District 97 history, from the very first piece we composed in 2006 (To Catch a Predator), to collaborations with our heroes John Wetton and Mike Portnoy, to two brand new songs that point the way toward the new decade to come (Wrecked & The Assumbly Line). Many of these songs represent absolutely crucial moments in our development and career highlight performances. and it feels incredibly satisfying to finally assemble them into a cohesive whole. The Abyss Stares Back, and in doing so communicates the alternate history of 20 years in the life of District 97." Tracklisting 1. Wrecked (Live 2025) 2. Quartet for the End of Time: VI.
