This presentation Covers 1) the Value of Homeschool Standardized Testing - even when it is not required by your home state. AND 2) Two new tools to help with your specials needs children and their homeschooling journey.
The 1st half of the presentation will outline how testing can bring value to your child's homeschool education, as well as the many types of testing options offered by FLO-Family Learning Organization.
The 2nd half of the presentation (at 24:20) covers 2 new tools becoming available January 2027 through FLO:
The first tool (RAN testing) will help to screen your child for Dyslexia or other learning challenges and then provide the data needed to have an intelligent conversation with your pediatrician or other learning professional. You will then work with your medical provider (or other provider) to determine next steps for your child's learning curriculum.
The second tool is aimswebPlus that is designed for K-8th grade to track your students learning through regular testing and monitoring that will give you the information you need to determine if the curriculum you are using is providing what they need to progress. After 6-8 benchmark exams you will have enough data to decide whether to slow down, supplement in weak areas or add something more challenging in their strong areas. You, as the parent instructor will be better able to ensure you are offering what is best for your child's academic success.
Once you review the info in this presentation, you are welcome to contact FLO-Family Learning Organization and let us help you take the next step into testing, assessments, monitoring and more. We are here to be a part of your child's homeschool academic success.
