HASHI 橋 | Japanese Zen Music for Reading and Reflection Beside an Ancient Bridge
HASHI (橋) means “bridge” in Japanese.
An old timber bridge stretches across a mountain ravine. Through the mist, part of a temple gate appears on the opposite ledge. The path continues beyond it, but its destination remains hidden. A monk sits at the near end of the bridge beside a small stone lantern.
Breathy shakuhachi, sparse koto notes, and soft ambient layers move slowly through this imagined retreat. Let the music accompany your reading, writing, focused work, meditation, or a quiet evening away from the day's noise.
Listen while:
• Reading and studying
• Writing or working quietly
• Meditating and reflecting
• Taking time to unwind
For now, there is no need to cross. Sit for a while and listen.
