The book of 1 Corinthians chapter 14 to 15

1 CORINTHIANS 14–15 | SPIRITUAL GIFTS, GODLY ORDER & THE HOPE OF THE RESURRECTION Welcome to this reading and reflection on 1 Corinthians chapters 14–15, where the Apostle Paul gives the Church important instruction concerning spiritual gifts, orderly worship, Christian maturity, and the glorious truth of the resurrection. In 1 Corinthians 14, we are encouraged to earnestly desire spiritual gifts, especially those that edify the Body of Christ. The gifts of the Holy Spirit are given for the building up of God's people, and their operation should always reflect love, order, understanding, and submission to God's Word. Our worship should not be driven by confusion or self-exaltation, but by a desire to glorify God and strengthen His Church. Everything we do in the house of God should be done decently and in order. Then, 1 Corinthians 15 takes us to one of the central truths of the Christian faith: the resurrection of Jesus Christ and the resurrection of believers. Because Christ is risen, our faith is not in vain. Because He conquered death, we have hope beyond this present life. The resurrection reminds us that our labour for the Lord is never wasted and that there is a glorious future awaiting those who remain faithful to Christ. “Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord.” — 1 Corinthians 15:58 May these chapters inspire us to: 1- Seek spiritual gifts for the glory of God and the edification of His Church 2- Allow the Holy Spirit to work through us with wisdom, love, and godly order 3- Remain grounded in the Word of God and sound doctrine 4- Hold firmly to the truth that Jesus Christ died, was buried, and rose again 5-Remain steadfast and unmoveable in our walk with God 6- Serve the Lord faithfully, knowing that our labour is not in vain 7- Live with our hearts set on eternity and the coming glory of Christ As we await the return of our Lord Jesus Christ, may we be found faithful—walking in holiness, serving with humility, growing in spiritual maturity, and proclaiming the Gospel to a world that desperately needs Jesus.
