Today I'm taking inspiration from our flock of eight Jacob sheep, which I filmed while they were munching on their hay yesterday. I'm using Sennelier ink and watercolor brushes, and on a couple of large pieces of paper I create a total of four portraits. Stick around to the end of the video for a few calm minutes of sheep watching, which makes great reference material and is also very relaxing!
In this video:
Sennelier Ink: In the first two paintings, I use purely ink, watered down and painted like watercolor, with a bit of scratching and dip pen for texture. These were painted on hot press paper.
Pen: In the second two paintings I combine the ink with pen, for a more sketched look. These were painted on cold press paper.

Materials:
Sennelier ink (walnut and bistre)
Claire Fontaine paper 30x40cm (cold and hot press)
Princeton Neptune round size 4 and 8
Synthetic quill brush size 5
