The LXNAV S-series standalone variometer lineup is designed to provide glider pilots with a range of high-precision flight instruments, combining vertical speed indication, speed-to-fly guidance, and advanced situational awareness in a scalable platform. Engineered for VFR soaring operations, these instruments utilize high-frequency digital pressure sensors, ensuring fast and accurate response to changes in air mass and aircraft energy state. Across the lineup, pilots benefit from configurable displays, customizable audio vario feedback, and preloaded glider polar data to support efficient thermal centering and optimized cross-country performance.
The S3 serves as the foundational instrument within the series, offering a compact 57 mm format with a mechanically driven needle and digital color display. It provides essential flight data including vertical speed, altitude, and speed-to-fly calculations, with a simplified single-knob interface designed to reduce cockpit workload. With integrated audio output, configurable data fields, and support for glider polar inputs, it delivers a focused and reliable standalone variometer solution suited for both primary and secondary installations.
