Welcome to my Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition Campaign Playthrough! Today, we begin the Yodit Campaign with Mission 1 – Path of Exile. Our story begins in Aksum, around 960 AD. Yodit is a young princess with a promising future, but everything changes when her jealous nephew Gidajan frames her for the theft of valuable golden curtains. Imprisoned and facing certain danger, Yodit manages to escape with the help of her loyal bodyguard Samuel. But remaining inside the Aksumite Empire is no longer an option. Now, Yodit must flee into exile. With Gidajan's forces searching for her, we'll need to survive enemy attacks, gather loyal Shotel Warriors, reach a friendly village, and ultimately find a way out of the empire. There are three possible escape routes, but each one is guarded by forces loyal to Gidajan. Which path will we choose? Can Yodit survive her exile and escape the Aksumite Empire? Join me as we begin the story of Yodit, a fallen princess whose journey into exile will eventually transform her into one of Ethiopia's most feared rulers. 👍 If you enjoy the video, don't forget to Like, Subscribe, and Turn on Notifications so you never miss another AoE2 adventure! 📌 Game: Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition 🎮 Campaign: Yodit ⚔️ Mission: 1.1 – Path of Exile 📅 Historical Setting: c. 960 AD 📍 Location: Aksum / Ethiopia 🏹 Civilization: Ethiopians 📜 Historical Note Yodit, also known as Gudit, is a semi-legendary figure associated with the history of Ethiopia around the 10th century. Historical information about her is scarce and often contradictory, with much of her story coming from later traditions and accounts. According to the tradition used by the game, Yodit was a princess who was falsely accused of theft by her nephew Gidajan and forced to flee Aksum. Her years in exile would eventually shape her into a powerful ruler who sought revenge against the Aksumite dynasty. Age of Empires II takes these legends and turns them into a dramatic campaign narrative. Many of the specific events, characters, and circumstances are therefore a historical-inspired interpretation rather than a precise reconstruction of what actually happened. #AgeOfEmpires2 #AOE2DE #Yodit #YoditCampaign #PathOfExile #Ethiopians #Aksum #Ethiopia #AfricanKingdoms #AgeOfEmpires #Campaign #RTS #StrategyGames #Gaming
