#writingcomics #howtowriteacomicbookscript #howtowriteacomicbook If you're struggling with writing a comic book script, or looking for tips & advice, I put this video together to show how I go about writing my scripts and how I do so using my story outline to get the most out of it. There's a lot that goes into writing a script that I tried setting up in the previous videos (links below) and there's absolutely no one way to do it! As someone who learns by listening or watching other people do the thing, I'm hoping that going through the steps of how I write a script helps you takeaway something that you can use in your own process. I tried my best to walk through the opening pages of a story, using examples of how I broke down my outline to plan the pages and eventually script them -- including why I chose to have certain story elements on a specific page. If you're looking for tips and advice on script formatting, there are 6 full pages of script shown throughout the video that you can pause on to read. I didn't dive into how I formatted the script and why I do certain things to help my collaborators, I'll get into in another video. The example being used, Knockturn County, was successfully pitched to a publisher in 2018 and due to many setbacks (also since comics take a loooong time to make) it had to be shelved until late 2021 - early 2022.
