New CO of Royal Gibraltar Regiment announced, as Lt Col Pitto reflects on military career

Lieutenant Colonel Alan Williamson, from a sister Battalion in the UK, has been announced as the new Commanding Officer of the Royal Gibraltar Regiment.  After more than two decades with the RG, outgoing CO Lieutenant Colonel John Pitto is preparing to bring his military career to a close. A third-generation member of the Regiment, his career has taken him from overseas deployments and diplomatic roles to its very top job, serving as Commanding Officer since the end of 2024. On 'Gibraltar Today' Kelly-Anne Borge asked him about some of the highlights of his career.
