Putting Down Stone for Stream Crossing (Crossing Project Part 2)

After excavating down to the proper elevation and cutting in the slopes for ingress and egress, I put down 6inches of #1 stone and 3 inches of #25 (crusher run). I still had to contend with a lot of water in the stream bed. The entrance/exit was solid. But, the actual crossing remained soft and mushy. And, have more trees fall on the banks after I graded the banks didn't help either. Therefore, the site was never 'clean' nor 'pretty. But, it is functional, and the client is happy.
