Learn the months of the year - January to December - with Miss Tara, Bruno Bear and Oli Owl! This 6-minute lesson is made for children aged 3 to 4. Your child will hear each month, see it written large and clear, get time to say it out loud, and sing along to an original Nanhi Duniya song. In this video we: visit a different place for each month (a new calendar page, friendship hearts, a blooming garden, rain and an umbrella, sunshine play, a picnic, kites, a community celebration, a storybook, glowing lanterns, sharing and helping, and twinkling lights), say and show January, February, March, April, May, June, July, August, September, October, November and December in order, pause so your child can repeat each month name, sing an original "Months of the Year" song with all twelve months, play a gentle recall game - no pressure, just encouragement, recap all twelve months together at the end, in two easy groups of six. What children practise: hearing and saying the twelve month names in order, recognising the written words, and understanding that a year has twelve months and starts again with January after December. Tip for grown-ups: the examples in this video (like flying a kite in July or lanterns in October) are just friendly ideas - every family's calendar, weather and festivals look different, and that's more than okay. Pause the video and say the month together with your child for extra practice.
