Remembering 9/11 always; I'll Never Forget: Cycling to Carry On

Twenty-five years later people are out and about doing life. It is a day we all remember especially here in the US. Most of us know exactly where we were, our first thoughts and how surreal it all seemed. It was a beautiful September day in 2001 as are many September days. As a wife of an FDNY fireman I didn't know what to expect that day. The hours passed slowly as I waited. Finally at 11pm I heard my husband's voice. Thankful he was alive, sorrowful for all the wives and families that didn't get that kind of ending. The aftermath, many funerals, many tears, many wondering how to be a support to something that was so earth-shattering. It was faith that brought us through, faith in God and faith in one another. So many people there for each other for months and years after. The love that surrounds us all is more powerful than hate. The triumph of Love really does conquer all. Remember that when you are tempted to react in hate. Love conquers all, even the haters. May God bless us all!
